Bearing in mind that nonverbal communication involves body language expressions, Jennifer Granholm, the Governor of State in Michigan, uses a gesture in remembering Rosa Parks who was a well-known civil rights activist. At the end of her speech, Granholm salutes with her hand at her forehead as a way of expressing her respect and admiration for a woman who had the courage to fight for racial equality and women's rights.
