Question: Work out the value of - 4a when (a = 10)

To find: Value of - 4a = ?

Solution:

The hint provided us to solve the question is that the value of a tends to 10 i.e (a = 10) so just we have to replace the value of a = 10 in the given equation.

Substituting value of a = 10 in eqn,

\mapsto\sf{ {a}^(2) - 4a}

\mapsto\sf{( {10}^(2) ) - 4(10)}

\mapsto\sf{100 - 4(10)}

\mapsto\sf{100 - 40}

\mapsto\sf{60}

  • The value of equation is 60

\huge \sf ༆ Answer ༄

Let's solve ~

\qquad \sf \dashrightarrow \: {a}^(2) - 4a

Now, substitute a for 10

\qquad \sf \dashrightarrow \: ( {10}^(2) ) - (4 * 10)

\qquad \sf \dashrightarrow \: 100 - 40

\qquad \sf \dashrightarrow \: 60
