The surface area is given by:
AS = Ab + Al
Where,
Ab: base area
Al: lateral area
We have then:
The area of the base is:
Ab = (10) * (10) = 100 mm ^ 2
The lateral area is:
Al = (4) * (1/2) * (10) * (root ((12) ^ 2 + (5) ^ 2))
Al = 260 mm ^ 2
The surface area is:
AS = 100 + 260
AS = 360 mm ^ 2
Answer:
The surface area of a square pyramid is:
AS = 360 mm ^ 2
