The area of a trapezoid is given by the formula
A = (1/2)(b₁ +b₂)×h
Fill in the given information and solve for h.
39 cm² = (1/2)(12 cm +(12 cm +2 cm))×h
39 cm²/(13 cm) = h = 3 cm
The height of the metal ingot is 3 cm.
