David’s starting pay for his summer job is $10.00 per hour. Halfway through the summer he receives a 50 cent per hour raise. David is hired the next summer and receives a 10% raise. Halfway through the second summer he receives a 50 cent per hour raise. David is hired for a third summer and is given a 5% raise. How much money does David earn per hour during the third summer? Show or explain your work.

$10, then $10.50, 10% of that is 1.05 which would make it $11.55. Then $12.05, 5% of 12.05 is .60 which would make it $12.65.

The final answer is $12.65
