Idk if this is what you wanted to know but The British were tired of fighting, by the late summer only Charles Town and Savannah remained in British hands. The battle of york town, won by the Americans, was the last battle. On October 19,1781 the British troops surrendered. It affected the french because of how they opperate, they lost power. And therefor felt powerless.
