Fear is usually the result of high tension situations which cause anxiety. When that anxiety spikes, adrenaline can often alter the way we think. This causes people to lash out and do things, because we aren't in the right state of mind. We can't completely register the actions and/or words we speak. We become very impulsive and do things we may regret later.
