35 + 15 + 120 = 170
170 x 1.08875 = 185.0875
= $185.09
(multiplying by this number because 1.0 refers to 100% so the whole 170 = 1, 200% of 170 would be x2 because there’s two lots of 170 etc. 0.088… refers to the 8..% because you’re adding that on.)
> not sure if that explanation makes a lot of sense but just wanted to add it just in case
