Q=MC delta T where
Q= heat energy
m=mass(2.0g)
C= specific heat capacity of water ( 4.18 j/g/c)
delta T = change in temperature ( 5.0 c)

Q= 2g x4.18j/g/c x 5 c= 42 j (answer D) is needed to raise temperature of 2.o grams water 5.0 c
