Cooking helps me refocus instead of overreacting due to my anxiety. When I feel overwhelmed I can find something that I have control over. Cooking is the type of control I need so I know I’m capable of getting through certain obstacles. If I make a mess and clean it up, it’s almost the same as making a mistake in life and not looking back at it. Cooking is a useful tool I can use in my day-to-day life to calm and enjoy myself.
