There are two squares one has the side length of 12 inches and the other has a side length of 14 inches. What is the total area of both squares

Area of square= l^2\\ (12inch)^2+(14inch)^2=340inch^2
Find the area of both squares and add them together.

Area of square with side 12 = 12 x 12 = 144 in²

Area of square with side 14 = 14 x 14 = 196 in²

Total area of both squares = 144 + 196 = 340 in²

Answer: 340 in²
