The correct answer is D.

In Islamic societies, textiles were the most valued of arts, especially because of their portability. The originally desert - bound people were able to carry them from one place to another and spread them around the world.

The earliest traceable textiles stem from the Early Islamic Period around 622 CE. The most well known example of an Arabic textile is the Oriental carpet. It's used in everyday Muslim life as a prayer rug, floor and wall decoration, cushion or bolster. Also famous are embroidered textiles. Many pieces of Arabic textiles represent religious scenes, religious inscriptions or some secular art as well.
