Which of these describes the differences between the social security act's "aid to families with dependent children" (1935) and the personal responsibility and work opportunity reconciliation act's 1996 "temporary assistance for needy families" (tanf)?

The difference would be that AFDC provided financial assistance to children whose families had low income
while TANF provided opportunities for families to get temporary financial assistance while aiming to get people ready for employment

Both of these aids were separated to make it easier for the Government to make proper budget allocation depending on the situation that faced by the Citizens who need the help
