* Motor neurons in the Somatic Nervous System (SNS) is responsible for the stimulation of the skeletal muscles. On the one hand, the motor neurons in the Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) are responsible for controlling the heart muscles, the glands (in the endocrine and digestive systems), the smooth muscles and even the lungs.

* Motor neurons in the SNS: one neuron that transmits information from the brain to the spinal cord and then eventually to other muscles in the body / Motor neurons in the ANS: two neurons involving a neuronal junction from the central nervous system to the effector organs

* Motor Neurons in the SNS: has to do with stimulating an action / Motor neurons in the ANS: action can either stimulate or inhibit
