We have to calculate the lateral area of the given rectangular prism.

The lateral area of the prism is "the sum of surface areas of all sides except top and bottom face of solid is defined as lateral surface area of a solid."

Therefore, Lateral area of rectangular prism = 2h(l+w)

where 'h' is height = 15cm

'l' is length = 17 cm

'w' is width = 13cm

=
2 * 15(17+13)

=
900cm^(2)

Therefore, the lateral area of the given prism is
900cm^(2).
