\bf \begin{cases} x=t^2+2\implies x-2=\boxed{t^2}\\ y=t^2-4\\ -------------\\ y=\boxed{x-2}-4\\ y=x-6 \end{cases}

x = t^2 + 2
x - 2= t^2
Substitute t^2
y = t^2 - 4
y = x - 2 - 4 = x - 6
