Let the width be x.
Width = x
Length = x + 4

2(x + x + 4) = 32

Combine like terms:
2(2x + 4) = 32

Distribute 2:
4x + 8 = 32

Subtract 8 from both sides:
4x = 24

Divide both sides by 4:
x = 6

Find Width and Length:
Width = x = 6m
Length = x + 4 = 6 + 4 = 10m

Answer: The room is 10m by 6m
