What is the solution set for square root of 3y+4=5

√(3y ) + 4 = 5

We can solve it algebraically:

√(3y) +4-4=5-4 (subtract 4 from both sides to isolate
√(3y)

( √(3y))^(2) = (1)^(2) (square both sides to get rid of square root on left side

3y/3=1/3 (divide both sides by 3 to isolate y)

y= (1)/(3)
