(5x - 2)^2 = 15

Square root both sides:

5x - 2 = \pm√(15)

Add 2 to both sides:

5x = pm√(15) + 2

Divide both sides by 5:

x = ( \pm√(15) + 2)/(5)

Answers:

x = ( √(15) + 2)/(5) \ or \ ( - √(15) + 2)/(5)

Answer: (B) and (E)

Ans: Option (B) and Option (E)

Step-by-step explanation:

Given equation:
(5x-2)^2 = 15

Take square-root on both sides:

√((5x-2)^2) = √(15) \\ 5x - 2 = \pm √(15) \\ x = ( \pm √(15) + 2)/(5)

Also plus-minus are involved, hence Options (B) and (E) are both correct.
