How do i solve an area and volume

The formula for the area of any regular polygon is 1/2 the product of the apothem and the perimeter. The area of a circle is
\pi r^(2) with the r standing for "radius".

The formula for the volume of any prism or cylinder is the area of the base times the height of the prism or cylinder. The volume for a sphere is 4/3 the product of
\pi r^(2) with the r standing for radius.

It depends on the shape or figure your trying to find it for.
Area- the area of a flat or plane figure is the number of unit squares that can be contained in it.
Volume- Is the measure of the amount of space in a closed figure.
