Amy estimated that she spent 1/7 of her time on both math and science homework. Without doing any calculations determine whether or not Amy's estimate is accurate and explain why or why not.

Assuming that those were the only 2 things she was doing, then the answer is that her estimate is inaccurate, as 1/7 + 1/7 = 2/7

This does not equal the 1 we are looking for, with 1 representing 100%, or 7/7

Oh I did this question before so I know the whole problem ok, Amy’s answer is not accurate because they were supposed to add 1/4 plus 1/3 and u had to find the common denominator for the two fractions first. Because u can’t add the two fraction just like that u have to find the common denominator first. Hope this helps!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ; )
