Carl Bernstein and Bob Woodward worked for the Washington Post. They covered the news about the break-in of the Democratic National Committee's office in the Watergate Complex. For months they tried to find a link between the break-in and Nixon's campaign organization, the Committee for the Reelection of the President (CRP). After Nixon was reelected, Bernstein and Woodward continued to investigate the Watergate break-in which they disclosed was an effort to sabotage Nixon's political opponents. The Washington Post received the Pulitzer Prize for the reporting of Bernstein and Woodward.
