a. The box is made of 5 Square that have the side 8 inches so the surface area of the box is the sum of the 5 areas.
(8•8)•5= 64•5= 640/2=320 in^2

b. The box is made of 5 different size rectangles.
bottom (8•6)+ 2 sides (6•10)+ 2 side(8•10)=
48+2•60+2•80= 48+120+160=328 in^2

c. 328-320=8 in^2

a. let it be A BOX

given :-

length of the box = 8 inches

breadth of the box = 8 inches

height of the box = 8 inches

here we can see that all edges of the box are equal, it means it's a cubical box.

let the side of the box be "a".

TSA ( total surface area ) of the box = 6a²

= 6 × 8²

= 6 × 64

= 384 in²

b. let it be B BOX.

given :-

length of the box = 8 inches

breadth of the box = 6 inches

height of the box = 10 inches

here, all edges are not same. hence it's cuboidal box.

TSA of the box = 2 ( lb + bh + lh )

= 2 [ ( 8 × 6 ) + ( 6 × 10 ) + ( 8 × 10 ) ]

= 2 ( 48 + 60 + 80 )

= 2 × 188

= 376 in²

c. the TSA of A BOX is more by = 384 - 376

= 8 in²
