Explain how you would compare these two decimal numbers. Solve the problem.

I know how to do this but I don't know HOW to explain... please explain it to me!!!! 100 points!!!!!

to compare these two decimals we will have to compare the number in the hundredths and thousandths place becuase we already know the whole number and the tenths place number is the same. as you can see, 4.259 is greater becuase 5 tenths is greater than 4 tenths.

4.259 is greater than 4.246 because its decimal places are higher values.

4.246 < 4.259
