The parabola that open to right or left has y terms as squared term and the general equation with vertex (h, v) of such a parabola can be written as:


x=a(y-v)^(2)+h

The sign of a determines if the parabola opens right or left. For positive a, the direction of parabola is towards right and for negative a it is towards left.

So the correct answer is option B
