the first one is 15 minutes per mile because 45 divided by 3 is 15. the second one is 5 plants per square foot because 45 divided by 9 is 5.

3. 45/3= 15, so she runs 1 mile in 15 minutes.
4. 45/9= 5, so each square foot can contain 5 plants.
Hope this helped!!
