First, you would use the first thing in order of operations which is parenthesis, which is (7+1). That equals 8.

Then, the next thing to do is exponents, which there isn't any.

The next thing would be multiplication, which is 6*4, since y=4, you have to fill in all the y's with 4. You would get 24.

The next thing is division, which would be dividing both your answers from the previous equations, 7+1 and 6*4. You would get 3.

The next things is addition, which there isn't any. So you would go onto the next thing which is subtraction, which is 3-2. That equals 1.

Your final answer would be 1.
