You need to change the fraction into a improper fraction by multiplying the one by the nine and assuring to then repeat for the second one but instead of adding 2 add one. Then make sure the bottom numbers are the same the add the top numbers together making sure the bottom number is the same. The answer should be 21 over 9

Change the fraction to a improper fraction.

11/9 + 10/9

Since they have the same denominators you can add them.

11/9 + 10/9 = 21/9

The answer is 21/9
