Jennifer has a bag of chips that contains 2 red chips and 1 black chip. If she also had a fair die, what is the probability that she rolls an odd number and pulls a red chip?

The fair die will roll 1 3 5 three times out of six or 3/6 which can be reduced down to 1/2.

Chips There are 3 chips all together. Two of them are red. That means that she has 2/3 chances of pulling up a red

Combine
When you have 2 events that are independent of one another, then the probabilities are multiplied together. The red chips cannot be left at 2/3 for example, because a "win" depends on the die coming up odd. The 2/3 must go down.

P(die_odd) * P(red_chip) = 2/3 * 1/2 = 1/3
Answer 1/3 <<<<
