It is given that half the squares on a checkerboard are black. Therefore, the other half will be red. Thus, the probability of finding a red square on the checkerboard is:
P(red)=(1)/(2)

Now, the Probability of a die landing with a value of 2 is:

P(2)=(1)/(6)

Therefore, the probability of the event that the die face is a 2 and lands on the red square is:

P(red)* P(2)=(1)/(2)* (1)/(6) =(1)/(12)

This can be expressed as percentage as:
(1)/(12)* 100\approx 8.33%
