The Night Watch by Rembrandt is a 1642 painting in the collection of the amsterdam museum, but is also displayed in the Rijksmuseum. It is by far the most famous painting in that collection. The painting is famous for its massive size, the dramatic use of light and shadow, and the perception of motion.
