Answer:

The dimensions of the enlarged poster are
6\ ft by
15\ ft

Explanation:

we know that

The scale factor is equal to the measure of the corresponding side of the enlarged poster divide by the the measure of the corresponding side of the original poster

Let

z-----> scale factor

x------> the measure of the corresponding side of the enlarged poster

y------> the measure of the corresponding side of the original poster

so

z=(x)/(y)

In this problem we have

z=(3)/(2)=1.5

Step 1

Find the length of the enlarged poster

x=zy

we have

z=1.5

y=10\ ft

substitute

x=1.5(10)=15\ ft

Step 2

Find the width of the enlarged poster

x=zy

we have

z=1.5

y=4\ ft

substitute

x=1.5(4)=6\ ft

therefore

the dimensions of the enlarged poster are
6\ ft by
15\ ft

The enlarged length is (3/2)*10 ft = 15 ft.
The enlarged width is (3/2)*4 ft = 6 ft.

The dimensions of the enlarged poster are ...
6 ft by 15 ft
