The amount of heat needed to increase the temperature of 250 g water from 20 c to 46.7 c is calculated as follows

Q = MC delta T , where
Q= heat = ?
M = mass =250 g
C= specific heat capacity of water = 4.186 j/g c
delat T = change in temperature = 46.7 -20=26.7 c

Q = 250 g x4.186 j/g/c x26.7 c = 27941.55 j which is approximate to
28000 j(answer A)
