The coordinates of the vertices of ΔXYZ are (4, –1), (2, –4), and (7, –4). The coordinates of image ΔXʹYʹZʹ are (−4, −1), (−2, −4), and (−7, −4). This transformation can be expressed as (x, y) ⟶ (−x, y). Is ΔXYZ congruent to ΔXʹYʹZʹ? Why or why not?

ΔXYZ is congruent to
ΔXʹYʹZʹ.
Because the second triangle is only a reflection (over the y axis) of the first one, they are the same size. The size or shape of it did not change.

Find a basis B for the domain of T such that the matrix T relative to B is diagonal. a. T: R3 ⟶ R3; T(x, y, z) = (−2x + 2y − 3z, 2x + y − 6z, −x − 2y) b. T: P1 ⟶ P1; T(a + bx) = a + (a + 2b)x
