Which property of matter allows convection currents to form? Fluids rise if they are less dense than the matter around them. The molecules in solids do not vibrate very quickly. Electromagnetic waves carry energy. Liquids take the shape of their container.

The property that allows convection currents to form is that the fluids rise if they are less dense than the matter around them. convection currents results from the difference in density between the layers of a fluid. The density of the heated layers decreases and therefore rises up, while the colder layers have higher density thus remain at the bottom.
