Sensory Somatic (Motor) Enteric Sympathic

After eating a large meal, parasympathetic nerves of your nervous system is activated. Parasympathetic nervous system is the type of autonomic nervous system. It is known as rest. In this type of nervous system, energy is conserved as it slows the heart rate, increases intestinal and gland activity, and relaxes sphincter muscles in the gastrointestinal tract.
