Answer:

x= -2 and y= -1

Explanation:

1) 4x+3y= -5

2(-2x+2y=6)

(Multipy by 2 )

Becomes

2) 4x+3y= -5

-4x+4y=12

3) -5+12 =7

7y/7=7/7=

y=1

4x+3y=-5

4x+3(1)= -5(plug in Y for 1)

4x+3= -5

4x+3+-3= -5+ -3 (add neigitve 3 on both sides)

4x= -8

4x/4=-8/4( divide 4 on both sides)

x= -2

a
