What caused the Triple Entente to form was Kaiser Wilhem's aggressive millitary build-up and his disregard for attempts at peace.

The Triple Entente was a pact signed in 1907, consisting of the French-Russian alliance, the French-British Entente Cordiale of 1904 and the Russian-British agreement of 1907. The Third French Republic undertook to enter the war against the German Empire if it attacked the Russian Empire, and, on the other hand, the United Kingdom only promised to provide diplomatic support.

In 1890 the new world power, Germany, ruled by Wilhelm II of Germany, got that three powers that had significant differences between them, France, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland and the Russian Empire, will approach and end by coalescing as the Major Nationalist Allies to face the Triple Alliance of the German Empire, Austro-Hungarian Empire and the Kingdom of Italy.
