1) The width is the length on the bottom of the rectangle, and the height is the length on the side of the rectangle.
Count the unit squares to find the width and height.

2) Side AB is the side on the bottom. Count the unit squares to find its length.
The answer is 8 units.

3) Use the distance formula to find the distance between points Y and M.
The distance formula =
√((x2- x1)^2 + (y2-y1)^2)
Plug in the points for Y and M into the distance formula.

√((-3-3)^2 + (2-2)^2) =
√(36), which = 6.
The answer is B) 6 units.
