The volume of the pyramid is:
V = ((Ab) * (h)) / 3
Where,
Ab: base area
h: height
Substituting values we have:
First pyramid:
V1 = ((16 * 16) * (28)) / 3
V1 = 2389.333333 in ^ 3
Second pyramid:
2389.333333 = (L ^ 2 * (112)) / 3
Clearing L we have:
L = root ((2389.333333) * (3/112))
L = 8 in
Answer:
The side length of the base of the second pyramids is:
L = 8 in
