Answer:

#1) 1

#2) 3

Explanation:

#1) y = mx + c

m (gradient) = difference of y/difference of x

= 0.5 - (-0.5) / (- 3) - 3

= - 1/6

c (intercept) = (-3,0.5) take any coordinate and substitute

= 0.5 = - 1/6 * - 3 + c

c = 0.5 - 1/2

c = 0

Equation is

y = - 1/6x

#2) slope is the gradient

Gradient = difference of y/difference of x

Gradient = 10- 6/0-24

Gradient = - 1/6

Answer:

1) = y = -1x/6 (1st option)

2) = -1/6 (3rd option)

Explanation:

1) = Solution :

(-3,0.5) i can write it as (-3,1/2) and for (3,-0.5) as (3,-1/2)

now

slope(m) = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

= (-1/2-1/2)/(3+3)

= -1/6

now

y=mx+c

or, 1/2 = -1/6 × -3 + c

or, 1/2 = 3/6 + c

or, 1/2-1/2 = c

so, c = 0

now

y=mx+c

or, y = -1/6 × x + 0

or, y = -1x/6

For no.1, 1st option is correct.

2) = Solution :

now

slope(m) = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

= (6-10)/(24-0)

= -4/24

= -1/6

For no.2, 3rd option is correct.
