For the reaction cl2 + 2kbr → 2kcl + br2, how many moles of potassium chloride are produced from 331.1 g of potassium bromide?

Equation is as follow,

Cl₂ + 2 KBr → 2 KCl + Br

According to equation,

238 g (2 moles) KBr produced = 2 Moles of KCl
So,
331.1 g of KBr will produce = X moles of KCl

Solving for X,
X = (331.1 g × 2 mol) ÷ 238 g

X = 2.78 Moles of KCl
Result:
331.1 g of KBr produces 2.78 Moles of KCl.
