How does the primary transcript in the nucleus of a eukaryotic cell compare to the functional mrna? the primary transcript is smaller than the mrna the primary transcript is larger than the mrna the primary transcript is the same size as the mrna both the primary transcript and mrna contain introns?

I think a primary transcript in the nucleus of a eukaryotic cell is larger than the functional mRNA. In a prokaryotic cell on the other hand, a primary transcript in is the same size as the functional mRNA. A primary transcript is the single stranded ribonucleic acid product synthesized by transcription of DNA, and processed to yield various mature RNA products such as mRNAs, rRNAs and tRNAs.
