Multiply the price of the tablet by the amount of tax.
=$425 * 8%
covert % to decimal (8% ÷ 100 or move decimal 2 places to the left)
=$425 * 0.08
=$34 tax
ANSWER: The amount of sales tax on the tablet was $34.
