A survey was taken of twenty dentists about Sparkly toothpaste. Sixteen of the dentists recommended Sparkly toothpaste to their patients. The same survey was given to dentists in a different state. This time they asked thirty dentists. Twenty–four of those dentists recommended Sparkly toothpaste to their patients. If this pattern continues, how many dentists out of fifty would recommend Sparkly toothpaste?

Answer: There are 40 dentists who would recommended Sparkly toothpaste to their patients .

Explanation:

Since we have given that

Out of 20 dentists, a survey was taken of about Sparkly toothpaste,

Number of dentists recommended Sparkly toothpaste to their patients = 16

Percentage of dentists who recommended Sparkly toothpaste to their patients be

(16)/(20)* 100=80\%

Out of 30 dentists, a survey was taken of about Sparkly toothpaste,

Number of dentists recommended Sparkly toothpaste to their patients = 24

Similarly,

Percentage of dentists who recommended Sparkly toothpaste to their patients be

(24)/(30)* 100=80\%

Now, we have asked to find the number of dentists recommended Sparkly toothpaste to their patients if survey was taken of 50 dentists.

As we have seen that there is always 80% of total number of dentists surveyed have recommended Sparkly toothpaste to their patients ,

so, According to this pattern , we get that

(80)/(100)* 50=40

Hence, there are 40 dentists who would recommended Sparkly toothpaste to their patients .
