Reagan Democrat is a political term used by political analysts to describe individuals, especially whites and the working class of the northeastern US, of both sexes, who traditionally voted for the Democratic Party, but who did not support that party but the candidate rival, the Republican Ronald Reagan in the presidential elections of 1980 and 1984.
