Melinda has a photo that is 8 inches by 11 inches. She wants to enlarge its length is 44 inches. What should the width be?

32 inches, because the length is 11*4 so you should do 8*4

The enlargement factor is the Length of the enlarged photo divided by the length of the original photo.

Here the length of the enlarged photo is 44 inches.

The length of the original photo is 11 inches.

The enlargement factor is


(44)/(11)=4

The width of the original photo is 8 inches

And the enlargement factor is 4.

Hence the width of the enlarged photo is 8 Ă— 4 = 32 inches.
