The area of the logo is the area of the square plus the area of the triangle.
The square has side 2 cm.
The equilateral triangle has side 2 cm and height 1.7 cm.

A = s^2 + bh/2

A = (2 cm)(2 cm) + (2 cm)(1.7 cm)/2

A = 4 cm^2 + 1.7 cm^2

A = 5.7 cm^2
