A is the answer.
if you subtract 2 from both sides you get x/5= -1. then you multiply both sides by 5 and the answer is x=-5.

x/5 + 3 = 2
the first step is to subtract 3 from each side to get:
x/5 = 2-3
x/5 = -1
2nd step, multiply both sides by 5 to get x
x = -1 *5
x = -5
the answer is A
