An anxiety hierarchy is a list of specific anxiety-producing scenes, arranged from least to most anxiety-provoking, that are related to the person's fear or phobia. The anxiety hierarchy is used for a person and medical team to exam ones fears and what is starting their anxiety. This will allow a person to evaluate their triggers and ways to try and control their anxiety.
